“We are in APC, not leaving, will support party’s candidates,” says former minister Uche Ogah

STEVE UNEGBU, Umuahia

The former Nigerian Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Sampson Uche Ogah has disclosed that he is not leaving the All Progressives Congress (APC), in response to defection rumours and said he will remain in the party, as well as support the APC presidential candidate.

Ogah who made this disclosure while addressing the members of his political structure, the Abia Rejoice Movement in his campaign office in Umuahia, urged them to remain in the APC and support all the candidates of the party and make them take over Abia State.

He charged them to be part of the process of changing the narratives in Abia state, by supporting and electing candidates that have good intentions for the people of the State.

 He further expressed appreciation to the Abia Rejoice Movement for the support they have been giving him while promising that he was going to start empowering the members to make sure the structure is sustained.

Ogah empowered the youth wing and the women wing of the structure with a bus each and added that every local government supervisor of the Abia Rejoice Movement must get a special gift from him before leaving the meeting.

“We must remain in Abia Rejoice Movement. We are in APC and we are not leaving the party,” the former minister said.

“We have our leaders and we have to listen to our leaders,” he continued.

Joshua Ogbonna, a publicity representative of the Abia Rejoice Movement said that the Abia Rejoice Movement remained intact and that nobody is leaving.

“We have all agreed to remain with him, wish him well and will support him in his political activities and obey his directives,” Ogbonna added.

He urged all members of Abia Rejoice to support the presidential candidate of their party, National Assembly, House of Assembly candidates and all APC candidates.
