An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Ogun State and the National Chairman, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu Support Group (AATSG), Otunba Yomi Odunowo, has described the various declaration of support for Governor Dapo Abiodun’s re-election by 12 political parties under the aegis of Inter – Party Advisory Council (IPAC), the Amosun, Buruji and Jimi Lawal factions of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), members of the Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance  ( APGA), the Ogun State Arewa community, the state Nigerian Labour Congress ( NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC), National Union of Local Government Employees ( NULGE) and the National Union of Teachers (NUT) as a  confirmation of the government’s socio-economic development of the state and the individual prosperity of the citizens and residents alike.

Otunba Odunowo, who made these remarks in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Seyi Shodipo, early in the week, noted that the development was an open identification with the Dapo Abiodun administration’s success story.

He stressed that the various supports from different political parties, trade groups, traditional rulers, civil servants, artisans and many more would, no doubt, provide a formidable platform for the Ogun APC  to win the Saturday Gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections in the state.

The APC chieftain further explained that the support from the various parties and groups would not only ensure victory for the APC, but also the APC government’s continuation of saving the life of the state and the well-being of the people.

He explained that during the past two governments’ 16-year rule in the state, the state was on the brink of collapse as its economy was in shambles until the advent of the Dapo Abiodun administration, which rescued the state and provided succour, renewed hope and relief to the people.

” The 16-year administration of the governments before the coming of Governor Dapo Abiodun in 2019 was an abysmal failure, but the people of our dear state are grateful to God for the Abiodun administration in the last four years that have provided purposeful leadership and returned the state on the path of glory”, Otunba Odunowo stated.

The AATSG National Chairman stated that the people of the Gateway State wanted continuity of the Dapo Abiodun administration and, therefore, implored the party members to receive members of the various groups and political parties that have identified with the APC with open hands and work in harmony to ensure the success of the party in the March 18 elections.

Otunba Odunowo noted that the Ogun APC was going into the elections with a history of performance and legacy achievements of the Governor Dapo-led administration, which is strategically favoured to win the elections, but enjoined the party members to join hands with members of the various political parties and groups that have declared supports for the APC and not allow the state fall into the hands of those who would again collapse its resurrected economy.

The APC chieftain described Governor Dapo Abiodun as a tested leader and appealed to the people of the Gateway State to cast their votes for him and other APC House of Assembly candidates, stressing that the future of the state under Prince Dapo Abiodun in another four years would witness a greater level of development in all areas of life.
