The Edo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists led by Comrade Festus Alenkhe yesterday, paid a birthday félicitation visit to the ESAMA of Benin Kingdom in preparation for his 88 years birthday anniversary coming up on the 11th September 2022.
Comrade Festus Alenkhe who was accompanied by his EXCO members and other Journalists thanked God for giving the Esama good health and long life and also thanking God for making the Journalists to be alive to witness the 88th birthday anniversary of the Esama of the Universe.
He said this year’s birthday is a prelude to his 90th and the subsequent birthdays afterwards and pray that Journalists would all be alive to witness the 90th birthday anniversary and the subsequent birthdays of the Esama.
He thanked Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion , the Grand Patron of Edo Council of the Nigeria Union of journalists for being a Piller of Support for Journalists, describing him as a role model per excellence.
He highlighted a few of his achievements since assumption of office as the Chairman of the NUJ, vowing to do more for the Edo State Council.
He concluded by Congratulating the Esama for his birthday anniversary coming on the 11th September 2022 promising that Edo Journalists would be on ground to monitor and report the birthday anniversary to the whole world.
Responding, the oldest Benin titled Chief crowned 40 years ago by the late Oba Akenzua, appreciated Festus Alenkhe for ” his enviable and amiable entourage” adding that Alenkhe has brought lot of changes which will imprint his name in gold.
He further added that,
” the acceptance of your people working with you without complaining shows you are doing well”
” My advise therefore, is that you should continue the good work ” the Esama concluded.
He therefore advised him to continue the good works.
