Assembly poll: Gov. Adeleke votes in Ede, urges massive turnout.

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke on Saturday morning cast his vote at his hometown in Ede during the state house of assembly election.

Adeleke voted at Sagba Agbogunde, ward 2 unit 9, Ede North local government area around 9am.
The Governor had earlier before the commencement of the polls urged residents to troop out and vote for members of the house of assembly.
He assured them of safety and security, saying that they should not be intimidated.

“You are still at home? Come out now and use your PVC as a democrat. It is safe outside. Exercise your right to vote and be voted for.

“Don’t be scared to abandon your right to vote. Security agencies are in top form to ensure that your vote and my vote count. I have issued relevant directives to service commanders to secure lives and properties as we all vote today.

“I need you, good people of Osun state, to vote massively. If you love democracy and good governance, stand up now and face your polling units,” he said.

Our correspondent who monitored the election observed that there is low turnout of voters in some parts of Osogbo, Ede, Ebunabon, Ife and some other places when compared to the presidential election of February 25, 2023.
