APC to launch policy institute Friday in Abuja

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has completed arrangements to unveil on Friday, September 6, 2024, in Abuja it’s newly established Think Tank and the Resource Centre of the Progressive Institute (TPI).

The event is set to begin at 10:00 am at the Abuja Inter-Continental Hotel.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will perform the formal unveiling.

National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, will host the occasion while Governor Hope Uzodimma, Chairman of The Progressives Governors’ Forum (TPGF), will deliver an inaugural lecture on ‘The Progressive Philosophy and its Programmatic Implications on Governance’.

The Director General of The Progressive Institute, Lanre Adebayo, who disclosed  this emphasized that the event marks the official launch of the Progressive Institute (TPI).

According to Adebayo, the Progressive Institute (TPI) was created as part of APC strategy to improve leadership training, strengthen intra-party democracy, and enhance the party’s policy making through independent research.

The Progressive Institute (TPI) which was registered as a company limited by guarantee with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), has received certification from the Ministries of Justice and Education.

The institute also aims to develop voter education initiatives to empower the Nigerian electorate as part of the APC’s broader goals.

With the new institute, the party hopes to transform and restructure politics and the perception of Nigerian politicians on the way politics is practiced in the country.
