Institute inducts 67 new members

Institute of Corporate and Public Sector Professionals (ICPSP) has inducted 67 new members at this year’s national conference held in Lagos.

The new members were inducted into honorary fellow, fellow, associate, affiliate, and graduate members of the institute.

A breakdown of the inductees showed that 10 were inducted as honorary fellows, 37 as fellows, eight as associates, one affiliate, and 11 as graduates.

In a welcome speech at the ceremony which had as theme ‘Institutions and Accountability: Taking Forward Unfinished National Agenda’, the President of the institute, Dr Foloashde Airebamien said the topic was designed to address concepts of accountability, transparency, institutional restructuring, governance, trust, peace, and leadership as well as professionalism, among others. gathering is remarkable in the history of ICPSP, it is an attestation to the fact that the institute is rapidly expanding in bounds, population, popularity, and professionalism. A feat we achieved through unrelenting hard work, improvement in professional practices, and contribution to national development.”

She charged the inductees to uphold the objectives and principles of the institute, to enable them actualise their mission and vision statements sooner than expected.

She said that by 2022, the institute will commence the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) professional examination scheme, which consists of optional and mandatory courses through state coordinators.

Speaking also the Chairman of ICPSP national conference, Ganiu Adebayo, said: “We are using this conference to educate the inductees on the need to be agents of accountability, change, transparency, and restructuring, without violating the core principles of the institute.”

Adebayo urged them to be accountable and act in a good manner, stressing that In whatever they do; they must not tarnish the image of the institute.
