Banks and other financial institutions are closed but POS operators are doing brisk business in some obscure areas.
Most schools are on holidays except federal government colleges while hospitals are operating skeletally with essential duty personnel only.
Government and private offices are also closed.
Even the Enugu -Port Harcourt expressway are virtually bare and bereft of traditional heavy fuel tankers, trailers, heavy trucks, buses and cars including the dominant Dangote haulage trailers.
The economic impact on stakeholders can be quite telling.
There are security beef ups and patrols around the metropolis just as there are no IPOB enforcers, so far there has no report of violence anywhere within the state.
