“I don’t have any regret working with the outgoing Rector. If I am to grade his performance, I will give him 95 per cent. Everybody should therefore be thinking of how to make this place a better place. The Rector is going, but the institution remains.

“Pending the time a substantive Rector will be appointed, the acting Rector was elected according to the Polytechnic act and everything was done to get a capable hand to continue the good work”, he said.

The acting Rector, in his acceptance speech, said he would continue from where the outgoing Rector stopped.

Petinrin, who solicited for the support and cooperation of lecturers and union leaders of the institution noted that he would not tolerate indiscipline and corruption.

“Let us work together to raise the standard of this institution and bring its glory together”, he said.

In his remarks, the outgoing Rector appreciated the Polytechnic staff for their support during his tenure.

According to the appointment letter signed by the Registrar of the Polytechnic, Alhaji Isiaka Agboola, made available to newsmen by the Protocol, Media & Public Relations Officer, Sola Lawal, the acting Rector shall enjoy the full power and authority of the office of the Rector with acting allowance paid.
