The Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) , Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has cautioned the military other security agencies and INEC not to be partisan in discharging their duties.
The PDP presidential candidate made the caution while addressing the mammoth crowd on Wednesday at the Ramat Square, Maiduguri said “the ruling APC government is planning to rig by posting state Commissioners of Police and urged security agencies and INEC not to allow themselves to be used.
“If elected, I will restore peace back to the Northeast and Nigeria in general. I will revive the economy, create jobs and fight poverty.” Atiku stated.
He also said: “Buhari must go. I know you people of Borno are fearless, so say Buhari must go. If you elect me, you are going back home and we will empower you. When time comes for election, vote for all PDP candidates” He advised the electorate not to make mistake of voting APC again, as the party has failed Nigerians.
Earlier, the National chairman of the PDP Prince Uche Secondus described Atiku as a candidate who has the experience in both private and public sector, energy and capacity to rule the nation.
He said ” if elected, PDP will restore lasting peace to the Northeast and the nation. I call on you to resist any plan to rig the election.. Any plan to rig will be rejected”.
in his remarks, the PDP governorship candidate, Alhaji Mohammed Imam, said contrary to the notion that Borno is a home of APC, Borno is a home of PDP as justified by the presence of the crowd that came to welcome Atiku.
He thanked the crowd for their patience, resilience and support and urged them to extend same on the election day..
