Cleric Eulogizes Udom Emmanuel For Superior Performance, Urges Umo Eno To Build On Legacy.

The general secretary of Assembly of God Nigeria, Revd. Dr. Godwin Amawo has eulogized Governor Udom Emmanuel for excellent performance in the past eight years, describing the completion and eventual dedication of the International worship center, Uyo, as a great testimony of God’s faithfulness to Akwa Ibom people.

Fielding questions from newsmen shortly after the dedication of the edifice on Sunday, the chief scribe of the pioneer Pentecostal church in Nigeria, agreed with Revd. Dr. Uma Ukpai who performed the dedication of the ultra modern worship center that anybody who brings his problems to God in the Cathedral, no matter how severe, wouldn’t go back the same.

The author of the award winning book, Tupocracy, used the channel to call on christians to build altars to God, while at the same time advised them to seek God’s face by drawing closer to Him all day in all their undertakings.

 

To the incoming Governor, the clergyman who said he has no iota of doubt that Pastor Umo Eno will do well, however advised him to follow the footstep of his mentor and even improve upon it.

Performing the dedication, Revd Uma Ukpai said of all the landmark projects of the exiting Governor, the international worship center stands out as the best, describing it as a meeting place for christians.

 

Uma Ukpai who saw the edifice as a chance for christians to get closer to God, went down the memory lane likening Akwa Ibom people to the chosen of God, said the idea of international worship center was God’s while Udom Emmanuel was only the instrument to accomplish the plan.

 

Enumerating many escapes he passed through in his eight years in office made possible by divine intervention, Governor Udom Emmanuel flanked by entire family members thanked God for His faithfulness and everlasting love.

 

He said of all that he had achieved peace stood out as greatest because throughout the eight years of his holding sway as chief executive officer the people of Akwa Ibom State slept with their two eyes closed at night, adding that the results have proven those armchair critics wrong.

 

Udom who reiterated that he is leaving the state obviously better than he had met it 2015, believed that the projects not completed will be completed by Umo Eno whom according to him, will finish strong because the batton of perfection has been passed to him.

 

The guest speaker on the occasion was Bishop Simeon Afolabi of First Love Assembly who spoke on the theme, “The gracious hand of the Lord my God” drawn from Ezra: 7:28, gave Udom Emmanuel a pat on the back, noting that for building a house for God his generation upon generation are blessed.
