My cattle, sheep are much easier to control than fellow Nigerians, says Buhari

Former President Muhammadu Buhari says he is happy to return to his farm where it is  easier to control his cattle and sheep than fellow Nigerians.

Buhari was Nigeria’s president for eight years and today handed over to President  Bola  Ahmed Tinubu.

Buhari said this during his speech at a pre-inauguration Gala Night on Sunday, where he expressed his desire to return to his hometown of Daura in Katsina State to focus on his farm animals.

“I am looking forward to tomorrow to fly to my base to go and meet my cattle and sheep, which are much easier to control than fellow Nigerians. But I have to reduce their number, because I cannot save enough to buy them feeds,” .

Tinubu, 71, became Nigeria’s 16th President at about 10.37 am on Monday, May 29, 2023.

He has promised to restore hope but he will be confronted by economic and security challenges.

But he has said that Nigerians should not pity him. He said he signed up for the job and that he was aware of the immense responsibilities before him.
