Buhari receives Fani- Kayode to APC

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday, received former Aviation minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode back to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The event took place in the State House Abuja.

He was presented to the President by Hon. Mai Mala Buni, chairman, caretaker committee of the APC and governor of Yobe state

Speaking after the meeting, the former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain claimed God ordained his defection

It will be recalled that Fani-Kayode has been a vocal critic of the Buhari government and he was once quoted to have said he would rather die than to join APC

Meanwhile, a civil rights activist and former Senator who represented Kaduna Central at the 8th Nigerian Senate, Shehu Sani, has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Senator Sani officially defected from the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at a meeting with party executives on Thursday, September 16, 2021.

Sani had last month met with all the 23 local government Chairmen of the PDP in Kaduna State at his residence to discuss approaches towards the 2023 election.

Meanwhile, Sani’s defection came on a day Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister of Aviation, left the PDP for the All Progressives Congress (APC)
