Anxiety has taken over Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area of the state, near Onitsha as Police officers monitoring the 2 weeks lock down in the state allegedly shot two youths to death.
It was gathered that the shooting was caused by refusal of the deceased to offer bribe to the officers on duty.
But the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Haruna Mohammed said that It was an unprovoked attack on Police patrol team when a substance suspected to be acid was poured on an officer by some miscreants and his rifle also snatched.
He said that effort is ongoing to restore sanity in the area.
