What kind of Music do you do?

I do afro pop music.

How did you derive the name Ebony Kush?

I derive the name Ebony from my complexion while the kush in it represents money.

When did your music journey start?

I started music when I was about seven years old, but professionally in 2020.

 Why the music genre Afro Pop and not any other genres of music like juju, apala, Fuji, gospel, among others?

Basically, I grew up listening to different kind of music, but I discovered afro pop sinks in my head more and that’s where I found my strength.

 Are you signed to any label?

Of course, I just got signed to B-Rain Nation Music.It is such a wonderful family.

How many songs do you have?

I’ve got songs up to 40 tracks, I have one song officially out “Ishe AJE”, I will be dropping another song for my fans very soon

Where are you from?

I’m from ibeju Lekki, Lagos State

Considering other popular hip-hop artistes whose music are mostly on the lips of both young and old, do you think people still like Afro pop?

Yes! People will never stop liking afro pop based on the fact that it’s our culture here in africa, afro pop and Afro beat is spiritual.

Yes, I’ll love to work with Simi, Wizkid, Olamide, Wande Coal, Adekunle gold, Asa, Tiwa Savage, Flavor.

 What are your thoughts about the growth of Nigeria music industry?

Right now, Nigeria music is doing well, home and abroad, and I believe we are taking over the world if we continue this way with the support of our government and Investors

What can government do for the growth of the music industry in Nigeria?

Government should invest into Nigeria music industry, based on the fact that Nigerian youths are extremely talented on entertainment field, not just music alone but other aspects too like dancing, comedy, sports etc.

 What advice do you have for the upcoming artistes?

My advice for upcoming artiste is to keep the fire burning; keep believing, don’t stop making music because giving up is not optional.

What are we expecting from you in the next two years?

Expect greatness from me because I’m about to make my country and Nigeria music industry proud.
