The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Lagos State, Mr. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has unveiled a 35-page manifesto titled “My Covenant with Lagosians,” outlining his vision for the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Rhodes-Vivour, in a statement on Tuesday, described the document as a blueprint for a Lagos built on Love, Accountability, Greatness, Omoluabi Values and Selfless Service, moving from “promises to measurable results, from opacity to accountability.”

“Dear Lagosians and Residents of Lagos, the time has come to move from promises to measurable results, from opacity to accountability, and from governance as usual to leadership that truly serves the people,” he said.

According to him, the covenant covers affordable housing, reliable electricity, efficient transportation, quality education, accessible healthcare, security and economic prosperity.

“This is more than a manifesto. It is a covenant of service, accountability, and a better future for all Lagosians. Let us build that future together,” he said.

The former Labour Party governorship candidate in the 2023 election said his administration, if elected, would deliver governance that works for everyone, “not just a privileged few.”

Rhodes-Vivour had at recent engagements, including The Platform Town Hall on October 1, promised to deliver 100,000 affordable housing units in four years, enact tenant protection laws, complete the Lagos rail network in two years through private sector procurement and revamp the waste management system through waste-to-energy initiatives.

He also pledged to take thugs off the streets by providing alternative livelihoods and vocational skills at ward and local government levels.

The ADC candidate said his administration would focus on improving the quality of life of residents and would not inflate public budgets for personal gain.
