Uncertainty Greets Plateau APC Primaries For Bassa,Jos North Federal Constituency Bye-election

Contrary to  time earlier fixed time  for the APC primary election for jos North bassa federal constituency,till now nothing has been done to commence screening of  delegate as confusion has now envelope the party .

Observation at the venue of the primary (lamonde Hotel) indicated that only empty and few party officials where at hall busy moving up and doing nothing as when the voting for the election is yet to be decided.

According to feelers that the aspirants where immediately summoned to government house following the blantant refusal by some aspirants to step down for each other making it difficult to arrive at a consensus candidate.

However, the chairman of the party who was one time the secretary to the state Government, Hon. Rufus Bature who was earlier sighted at the venue of the primary election suddenly disappeared into  thin air  leaving the delegates and party supporters in a state of confusion.

To this end it would be recall that the primary election was slated to commence by 9am but at the time of filing this report which is 5pm no clue at when the exercise will beginning.

One of the aspirants, Hon. Suleiman Kwande,who was a member of the seventh and eight Assembly, expressed dismay over the delay in the commencement of the exercise.

 According to him,the failure of the state APC officials to commence the exercise scheduled,smelled rat and blamed the party officials for their failure in carrying all the Aspirants along.

 He said that he was left in total darkness as nobody brief him on what is going on concerning the exercise and as such,”we are confused.”

He expressed optimism that he will win with wide margin gap if the exercise goes smoothly.

Our correspondent learned that about 1,165 delegates are still waiting to cast their votes.
