The Church needs love to move forward, says Amb. Peter Daniel

Senior Prophet Amb. Peter Daniel. The presiding pastor in charge of A touch of Great Glory international Ministry bares his mind on kingdom affection between him and spiritual son Amb. Benjamen Ekanem, also shares political opinions on Akwa-Ibom state gubernatorial interest and elections. Clement Emmanuel captures the interview excerpts.

*Despite distance Why do you chose to visit Lagos in honor of Amb Benjamin Ekanem on the occasion of his birthday and Church Anniversary.?

One thing about my Life is, I value relationship, I respect relationship, I don’t joke with relationship. Amb Ekanem is my spiritual son. I can do everything possible to make him happy as long as Ministerial work is concern.

*How did you become Amb Benjamin Ekanem spiritual father ?

It’s a Divine ordination. I am a spiritual father to him not because I am the best preacher in the world. I just believe that everyone make choices of who Father them in ministry. He choose me because he believes in my Grace, he believes in my impactation in his life and I am useful to him and he submit to me. He has always been a faithful son. He has made me proud. I don’t just see him as a son but I see him as a son I love so much.

*As a spiritual father in Christendom. What do you think is lacking in the body of Christ?

Love is lacking in the body of Christ. There is no love. We would have done better if there is sincere love among ourselves. Absence of love brings envyness, disunity among the body of Christ which is affecting Christendom. Whereas the Muslim brothers are more united and they are always seen supporting each other, no discrimination among themselves. We Christians must have one understanding that we are not serving a Church but rather we are serving God, we are servant to the God who chose us to work in His vineyard and our goal should be the kingdom of God and how to make Heaven. Our message should base on preparing souls for the second coming of Christ but today people are preaching several things and deviating from the original purpose. The Bible says “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and every other things shall be added unto you”.

There is a lot of discrimination in the body of Christ, hatred, disunity and other vices and in as much as this is going on this is one of the weapon of the devil to bring down the body of Christ by making us speak different languages as one body. Disunity and Love is the problem we are facing in the body of Christ.

Today is Sunday, I had to leave my church in Akwa Ibom state where I happened to be the General Overseer to come and preach here in Lagos. This is because of love.

*With enormity of your busy schedules, How easy is it for you to be here?

Its part of what I just explained, love. What brought me here is to exercise love. Amb Ekanem has been a son who has first showed me love by been committed. He has always been committed to most of my event. There is no program I organized that he wouldn’t show up. So if he has been coming to my event to show me love, I don’t think coming once in a year to bless him and his ministry will be a big deal. As a matter of fact, I have some important guests from the government house that came to my church which by right am supposed to receive them in church, but I had to be here because he first showed me love. This can be liken to how God relate with us as human. Means if I serve God faithfully from the depth of my heart without keeping any stone unturned, God can leave other important issues and take care of my needs when it is necessary because God knew am always there for Him, the benefit of serving God might not come immediately, you are investing for the future unknown. There will come a time in your life that God will reward you based on what you have done in time past. I am here in Lagos to be a blessing to the people of God because of the good character and attitude of my son in the Lord.

*What is your wish for him on his birthday?

Above other things, he should start loving God more than ever before. He should make God his number one as quoted in the scripture ” Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and every other things shall be added unto you”. If he love God there is nothing else he wants that the Lord will not give to him. My prayer for him is that he should love God the more and run after the kingdom of God, every other things shall be added. Other friends may not tell him the truth but this is the best truth that he must take to heart. I wish him greater love for the kingdom and more expansion in the work of God.

*There’s a lot of insecurity in Nigeria where children are being kidnapped and killed along with adults in some cases. What do you think men of God like you can do to stop this killings and insecurity?

The Bible says that “Except the Lord watcheth over the City the labour in vain that watched over them! Except the Lord buildeth a house the labour in vain that build it”. Now if anybody tells you that he has police escort and police security for protection, you are lying to yourself. No police can protect anybody. You might ask why do I use police escort? They are just there to clear the road, they sometimes make journey easy. I dont have police excort because they can protect me. If death wants to come knocking, keep all the Police and Armies, death will pass and meet you, none of the excort will even see and know that death has passed. What we need is God’s Divine intervention for God to touch the heart of the so called criminals. For God to touch the heart of this wicked men because no matter how harden the heart of a man is God can turn it to be as soft as bird. I truly believe that we have not really seek the face of God enough. We trust much on our chariots, we trust so much in our capacity, we trust so much on the connections we have, we trust so much on the police protection, even the so called police can’t protect themselves. Go to the east and see the way policemen are been slaughtered. Some policemen are molesting the citizens of this country and their original job was to protect the good citizens of this country. I have policemen and I can tell you for free I have one of my inspector that the inspector general of police, the one that follow me. I gave this young man an award during December last year 2021, I bought him an expensive foreign police uniform, I also bought same uniforms for all my policemen. But this young man, his name is Fidelis, he is still with me till date. I gave him some huge amount of money. He is the longest serving policeman with me. He has never for once raise his voice on anyone nor had a quarrel with my church members or my family. I blessed him because of his good heart. That means there are still good policemen with manners, respect and honour in the police force but how would you know them when the bad ones has polluted the good ones. For the insecurity in the country, we need God intervention.

*What advise can you give to government and political class to solve Nigerian problems?

My advice for them is to keep to their promises. A lot of politicians don’t keep to their words. Young men will go and kill themselves, work hard for them with faith that once they are there, they will help them. Immediately they get to the political office, they avoid their calls. They forgot that same ladder they use to climb up they will still need same ladder to climb down. They will run to a hide out, when it’s time to campaign for another office, they will come back to look for a thousand naira to give to this men, to bring them back use them for their wicked plans to get another election. But this wicked act will never happen in 2023 election. It will be checkmated. Thank God for the youth of Akwa Ibom state, our eyes are wide opened. We can now see and know that some of this men are lying to us and we are no more ready to be lied upon again, because the future of our children is at stake. Some of this wicked act, bandits, kidnapping are happening because a lot of them are not happy, reason is that those who made promises to them has not Fulfilled them.

*Do you have intention for a political office some day?

Yes off course. By the Grace of God I am standing in for the Governorship of Akwa Ibom state cum 2023 election. I have the believe that I am going to win as Governor of Akwa Ibom with the help of God. The Bible says that “when the righteous is on the throne the people rejoice”. I want the support of the youth, I want the support of the fathers and mothers. The Bible speak that our old men shall dream dreams while our young men shall see vision. Our fathers has done their best, it’s time for them to sleep and dream and tell us the children what is their dreams, they will see vision on how to interpret their dreams. It will become a Prophetic error and a spiritual error when the father will be the one seeing vision for the young men to sleep. Cum 2023, I will be standing election in my place, Akwa Ibom state. If my people can pick me to serve them in the capacity as a Governor, I will do my best to see that we have a new Akwa Ibom State.
