. Kill the idea of a mass burial for our slain  members in Imo State, IPOB warns

From Victor Duruamaku  Owerr

Imo  People Monday  at about 9 15am,  Monday witnessed Pandemonium in most parts of  the state  following an alleged enforcement of the IPOB Sit at Home Order by suspected members of IPOB

This unexpected pandemonium led to stampede in some parts of the state including major streets and roads in Owerri the state capital

This confusion over  the alleged violation of the  weekly sit-at-home order by IPOB, led to the sudden  closure of schools, business premises and the popular  market in the capital city known as “Eke Ukwu Owerri ” market

Also for fear of being attacked by the rumoured suspected members of the IPOB, Hotels and Banks quickly short their gates and stopped attending to customers

Expectedly vehicles, Okada riders and barrow pushers quickly disappeared from the roads and streets just as road side traders also took to their heels for safety.

However, people who  came to the city of Owerri very early in the morning were seen  trekking  home as all commercial vehicles deserted the major roads and streets, leaving  the people  particularly those from  the hinter land  stranded

Our correspondent who monitored the situation reports that the security personnel were seen  well positioned on the roads to checkmate any ugly development

Also, apart from the IPOB alleged connection, there were  allegations by some people against the  overzealous officials of the State Environmental Transformation Commission (ENTRACO) over the confusion

According to this school of thought, the commission had embarked on aggressive demolition of some structures on the Onitsha road, World Bank, and Control Post areas of the city which did not go down well with owners of such demolished structures.

The fracas that ensued resulted in stampede which later spread to other parts of the city thereby provoking confusion and tension.

Ignorantly, since the incident took place on Monday usually observed as IPOB sit-at-home order, it was misconstrued by the larger populace that it was the handwork of IPOB over disregard to the order.

The commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon Declan Emelumba did not pick his calls  for reaction but the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Michael Abatham blamed it on mere rumour and hallucination by those he said are intent to cause confusion in the state and who cry wolf where there is none.

He advised members of the public not to panic and to go about their normal business assuring that  adequate security had been put in place to secure lives and properties.

Jettison the idea of a mass burial for our killed members in Imo State

…..IPOB warns Imo Com for health, CMDs of FMCO, Aladimma hospital

By Pamela Eboh Awka

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has warned the Chief Medical Directors, CMDs of Federal Medical Centre Owerri and Aladimma hospital, the Management, as well as the Commissioner for Health, Imo State to jettison any plan to bury IPOB members who were murdered in cold blood by the Nigeria security operatives in Imo State in mass grave.

The group described the idea as inhuman, saying that their owners are still searching for them.

IPOB in a statement by its media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful lamented that the mortuary of FMC Owerri is filled with corpses of innocent Biafran youths slaughtered by security forces in different parts of Imo State.

While regretting that they want to hurriedly bury them in mass grave, IPOB said, “What an affront to our culture and tradition, what an insult to the spirit of the dead and the bereaved families.

“We are therefore,  warming the Chief Medical Directors, CMDs and the Management of these two hospitals as well as the Commissioner for Health,  Imo State to quickly jettison this plan.

“The security agencies have always denied being in custody of the victims after abducting them only for their corpses to the dumped at the FMC mortuary. Some of the Biafran youths abducted  by security agents in Imo State were taken to various secret cells in the North where they are now languishing under severe and inhuman torturing.

“Hope Uzodinma cannot order for the mass murder of our youths in cold blood and also bury them in mass grave without investigations. His game plan to cury more favour from his Fulani slavemasters with the untimely death and mass burial of Biafra youths cannot work!

“There must be proper and independent investigation of how the mortuary of FMC Owerri suddenly got filled up with the so-called abandoned corpses. They quickly put up a media publication to justify this atrocity.

“We warn madam Achonu Jacinta to be careful or she will regret this memo she presented to the public. This is a ploy to cover up genocide going on in Imo State by Nigeria security agents in collaboration with Gov. Hope Uzodima.

“Hope Uzodimma extended his hand of attacks and killings in Anambra State to receive reward from Fulani, we come to the knowledge that Uzodinma and his fake ESN and unknown gunmen he created to intimidate our people in Anambra State has been exposed and he must pay for his evil thinking he can implicate divine movement like IPOB. IPOB is out for Justice for these innocent victims and we must get it.”
