Pandemonium as security agents

and members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) otherwise known as Shi’ites  clashed and exchange gun fire in Gwarinpa Estate along the Kubwa Expressway in Abuja on Tuesday.

Trouble started at about 10am when the Shi’ites movement struggled to make their way into the city center for their usual protest, but we’re forcefully stopped by the security agents.

Contrary to the report by most online medium that the incident  claimed 6 lives, the spoke man of the Federal Capital Territry  police public Relations officer, DSP Joseph Adeh,  who spoke with our currespondent said, no  life was lost as the police managed managed to sterm tension and made 45 arrest of the Shi’ites member.

The IMN members were reported to have been rounding off the Arbaeen Symbolic Trek when security operatives opened fire on them.

Reacting to the clash, Adeh said the Shiites movement came into Abuja with the intention to cause unrest.

“We got a security report before now that the Shiites mobilized people from about six states into FCT with the intention of making the city ungovernable.

“They engaged our men with dangerous weapons. They were throwing explosives and stones at our men. What we simply did was disperse them with tear gas. There was no casualty,” she said.
