Over 200 Obedient support groups back PDP guber candidate in Plateau

Barely two days to 18th Saturday, 2023 governorship and state Assembly elections, over 200 Obidient Support Groups in Plateau State have endorsed the candidature of Barr. Caleb Mutfwang/Ngo Josephine Piyo of the PDP for the said election.

The support groups who state reason for aligning with PDP candidate said they want to salvage Plateau from monumental failure and deceit of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

Addressing newsmen in Jos on Thursday, Stephen Danladi Wuyep, Coordinator, Obi/Datti Support Groups, Plateau State said the decision came after scrutinizing all the Gubernatorial candidates for the election and realized that it was Mutfwang that has the capacity to mobilize and harness fully, all resources which include; natural endowment, energy and also has the will and ingenuity to empower the greater citizenry of the state.

“We want to make it  categorically clear that there is a distinction between Obidients and Labour Party. The “Obidient Mantra” is a movement whose members believe in the candidature of His Excellency Peter Obi to salvage Nigeria from sinking finally to a state of collapse to make our Country work again and become a Productive nation taking it’s rightful place as the giant of Africa and our Members cut across all spheres of life some of whom have never join any political party in the past.

“Therefore, Labour party was just a vehicle through which our principal rode on, we would have still followed him to whichever party he went to just like some support groups who followed him along from the PDP.

” It is therefore, in the light of this development  that we want to unequivocally Endorse His Excellency Barr. Caleb Mutfwang the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for Governor of Plateau State come 18th March, 2023.

“We have followed and listen carefully to all the Major Contenders and found in Barr. Caleb Mutfwang a Leader who is competent, a unifier, God-fearing with track records in public service, knowledgeable about the problems of Plateau State and one who is ready to hit the ground running on day one and so our resolve to throw our weights overwhelmingly behind him to vote for him massively as the next Governor of Plateau State.

“We believe that a new Plateau will emerge with Barr. Caleb Mutfwang at the helm of affairs. Under his watch, Plateau will be secured, the welfare of the People will be improved, the economy will come back to life, sanity in governance will come back and Plateau State will bounce back to those glorious days of massive develooment and transformation as witnessed before the coming of the Infamous APC on the Plateau.

“We are hereby calling on all Obidients across the 17 LGAs of Plateau State to mobilize and come out en masse to vote for the candidate of the PDP His. Excellency Barr. Caleb Mutfwang and Ngo Josephine Piyo as his running Mate for in them the true and real Plateau Project can see the light of the day. Our heritage is our pride and with Mutfwang that is secured”, he stated.
