The All Progressives Congress in Ondo State has urged Muslims to continue to live in peace, love one another as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir in the state.

It asked Muslims in the state to use this period of the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir to pray for peace to continue to reign in the state in spite of the unfortunate incident that happened in Owo where scores of lives were lost to bandits’ callous attack.

APC Chairman in the State,Ade Adetimehin assured people living in the state that the government of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is committed to the security of lives and properties of all Ondo State indigenes and non-indigenes  living in the state.

Adetimehin pointed out that Akeredolu’ s administration remains resolute with the issue of security in the state and will redouble its efforts in providing adequate security for the citizenry notwithstanding the recent hiccup in our security system that led to losing of several lives in Owo attack.

According to him,” We are asking fellow citizens to be our brother’s keepers during this festive period by reporting any suspicious individuals and criminal activities they observe around them to the law enforcement agencies.

“We also enjoin all public places operators and owners to heed to the call of the Ondo State government by erecting CCTV cameras in their premises to help combat crimes and all forms of criminality in the state.

“While we are wishing all Muslims in Ondo State a happy Eid-el Kabir celebration, we urge everyone to adhere strictly to law and order and remain peaceful throughout the holiday celebration”
