Ohaneze talks Tough on Ranching…S/East Gov’s will never donate  Land for Grazing Reserve, exonerates Gov Umahi on N6 billion FG Largesse 

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has reaffirmed that Governors of the  South-East geo-political zone of the country will not donate any  Land in the zone  for Grazing reserves.

In a Statement issued on behalf of the Organization by its Secretary General Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro in abakaliki the Ebonyi State capital on Thursday,  stated that the zone will not surrender any Land for Grazing Reserve.

According to the Statement, “Ohaneze Ndigbo was alarmed by the news of  inducement and compromise, we investigated the allegations that Governor Umahi accepted N6 billion for donations of Land for Ranching”

“Our findings revealed that there was  no evidence directly or indirectly indicating any payment  for Ranching”

The Statement lauded Governor  David Umahi for  his bravery to stand  with the South-East  verdict against donations of lands for ranching and grazing reserves in the zone.

“Ebonyi State Government had continually announced that no land within their territorial integrity will be ceded to ranching and grazing reserves”.

“The Statement noted that the insinuation  was a well-scripted fallacy meant to mislead Ndigbo and tarnish  the image of Governor Umahi.

“We are too sophisticated to be hoodwinked, Governor Umahi is the shining light of South-East  and

will never betray his people”.

The Statement reiterated that Grazing Reserves (Ranching) will never thrive in any State of the South-East zone  as no Igbo Governor will cede lands for Grazing reserve.

 ” Nigerians and Ndigbo should disregard the proclamation spread out by fifth columnists over the collection of N6 billion  by Ebonyi state government to kick-start Ranching.
