Ohanaeze Ndigbo world wide to honour Iwuanyanwu, Ngozi Okonjo-Iwuala,Peter Obi ,others

.as Abia chapter exco is inaugurated

The Apex Igbo sociocultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo world wide Abia chapter is set to inaugurate her new executive members as well as recognize some Igbo sons and daughters who have distinguished themselves of which Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu,Mrs Ngozi Okonjo- Iwuala and Mr Peter Obi made the list.

Speaking in a world press conference held at Ohanaeze Ndigbo Abia state Secretariat Maculey street Umuahia and organized by the State working committee, the chairman Ohanaeze Ndigbo Local Organizing committee ,Hon.Chief Charles U.Ama stated that the essence of the conference was to intimate the public of the  inauguration of the new  executive members on Tuesday,29th of November,2022 and the series of programs that have been lined up for the event which would  be rounded up with an award giving ceremony and gala nite.

According to him,” Apart from  Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Mr Peter Obi,Dr Mrs Ngozi Okonjo Iwuala, others are  Chief Authur Eze,Engr. Chinedum Orji ,Lt Gen.Azubuike Ihejirika ,Sir Emmanuel Mbaka chief Innocent Chukwuma,Elder Emmanuel Adaelu, Prof. Gregory Ibe among others”

Speaking further,he explained that the Governor of Abia state,Dr Okezie Ikpeazu would be the Special guest of honour and will give  the key note address.

He informed  that the awards  were  not reserve for Abians,but to all Igbos sons and daughters that have accomplished and distinguished themselves  and that they have gotten assurance from many of the awardees of attending the event.

Ohaneze Ndigbo Abia chapter however frowned at what the Anambra state governor, professor Soludo said last time against the Labour party presidential candidate for 2023 general election,Mr Peter Obi, describing such utterances as pulling him down syndrome.

In his speech ,the National publicity secretary of Ohaneze Ndigbo world wide ,Mazi  Chika- Art Adiele explained that Ohaneze Ndigbo is still on top of issue in the area of governance,added Ambassador George Obiozor still remains the president of Ohaneze Ndigbo world wide while Ambassador Okey Nwadiuto Emuchay is the secretary.

Later in his remarks, the Ohaneze Ndigbo Abia state president,Hon.Okey Nwankwo reassured the willingness of the present Exco to continue to work for the betterment of Ndigbo generally.
