NTA Abeokuta: IGP congratulates Funmi Wakama on retirement

The Nigeria Police Force, NPF, has congratulated Mrs. Funmi Wakama on her retirement as the General Manager of the Nigeria Television Authority, NTA, Abeokuta after 35 years of dedicated service.

The congratulatory message was sent on behalf of the Force by the Acting Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.

According to a press release on Saturday by the Force Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Mrs. Wakama’s commitment, diligence, and exemplary leadership had left an indelible mark in the broadcasting industry and the nation as a whole.

Her steadfast dedication to her profession and her unwavering commitment to upholding the values of integrity and excellence, was said to have set a shining example for all.

Furthermore, the IGP said he was pleased to acknowledge and celebrate Mrs. Wakama’s well-deserved conferment of a chieftaincy title by the esteemed Olowu of Owu, Oba Saka Adelola Matemilola, Oluyalo Otileta VII.

The recognition, Egbetokun said, was a testament to her outstanding contributions to both the media sector and the wider community, adding that it underscored the respect and admiration she had garnered throughout her illustrious career.

“As Mrs Wakama embarks on this new phase of her journey, the IGP wishes her a retirement filled with happiness, good health, and the fulfilment of all her aspirations. Her legacy will continue to inspire generations to come, and her impact will be felt far beyond the realm of broadcasting,” Egbetokun said.
