Mutfwang to new perm Sec’s: ”My administration  ‘ll not tolerate disloyalty, flagrant abuse of office”

Plateau State Governor, Barr.Caleb Mutfwang have cautioned the newly appointed permanent secretaries that his

administration will not tolerate any form of disloyalty, indiscipline and flagrant abuse of office as well as indolence.

Governor Mutfwang said diligent service to the government and citizens of Plateau State should be the appointees watch word. “Failure in this regard, you will be considered unfit and shown the way out.”

The Governor gave the  warning when he was represented by the Deputy Governor, Mrs Josephine Piyo during the inauguration of eight new permanent secretaries to fill the vacant position exist in Plateau state civil service, held at Banquet Hall Government House Little Rayfield Jos on Tuesday.

Governor Mutfwang said, “today marks another phase in the life of this administrative on her efforts to improved service delivery in the state civil service.The appointment of these permanent secretaries is to fill in existing vacancies created as a result of the retirement of some permanent secretaries in the civil service.

“Appointment to the rank of a permanent secretary is strictly based on competence and seniority. This procedural tradition in the civil service will always be kept and adhered to. As a deliberate means in rebuilding confidence and trust in the minds of civil servants and state civil service being the engine room of government, my administration will sustain the principle of seniority, equity and fair play on appointments in the state civil service.

“I congratulate the newly sworn in permanent secretaries for the well-deserved appointment to the pinnacle of the civil service haven gone through due checks and consultations. Your appointment was predicted on commitment, hard work and dedication after due diligence.

“You must therefore, remain focus to join hands with my administration on the implementation of our programmes, policies and projects to deliver the Time is Now mandate. This will justify the overwhelming support we got from the good people and citizens of Plateau State”, he stated.

He also challenged them to Ensure they remain apolitical to work within the scheme and schedule of service by upholding the sanctity of accountability, honesty, probity, justice and fairness.

Noting that, “The time is now to restore the glory of our dear state, and to achieve that, the engine of government, which is the civil service, must be overhauled to give it the credence it deserves.our government is a government for all irrespective of tribe and faith”, the governor mentioned.

Our correspondent reports that, amongst the 8 permanent secretaries inaugurated, male and female got four slot each this includes; Aliyu Tsoho Samuel, Esther N. Pwaspo, Mary C. Fom, Kelvin Bamshak,Tamba Nuhu Garba,Alexander Anlong Nyelong, Lydia Vonkat Nantim

and Jummai Adamu respectively.

The Governor to permanent secretaries that they will received communication through the head of service in respect to their assigned ministries.
