Muslims  called upon to pray for sustainable peace in Nation.

Muslims in Taraba State have been called upon  to use the period of Eid-Mubarak and pray for sustainable peace and tranquillity for the Nation.
Taraba Deputy Governor, Haruna Manu made the call shortly after observing two units Eid Prayer at the Taraba State University Eid Ground.
He lamenting over the high level of insecurity in the country, adding that prayer is the only alternative towards surmounting the myriad of security challenges the nation is faced with.
“I called on Tarabans to work collaboratively with security personnel, for securing lives and property should not be left for security personnel alone.
“Let me  also congratulated the Muslims for celebrating yet another Eid-el-kabir in a peaceful manner and I urged you to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice, tolerance, piety and sharing as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad.
In  his sermon,the chief Imam,Salisu Ishaq admonished the congregation to celebrate the fest in accordance with the Islamic teachings.
The Imam stressed the need for dedication in serving the Almighty Allah through supplications, reciting the glorious Qur’an, sharing with the needy and visitation among other acts of worship.
Prayers were said for peaceful forthcoming general elections and tranquility of the State and the country at large.
The Deputy Governor was accompanied by top senior government officials and other well wishers despite the rain which started early hours.
