MASSOB warns politicians to stop using her name for campaigns

The Chief Ralph Uwazuruike – led Biafra Independence Movement /Movement for Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (BIM/MASSOB), Sunday, sent a strong warning to politicians who are in the habit of using the name of Biafra to campaign for the 2023 general elections to stop it forthwith.

Sounding the note of warning through the Director of Information/Senior Special Assistant, (SSA) to the movement, elder Chris Anierobi Mocha,  it cautioned those politicians found to be actively involved in the act to henceforth desist from such smear campaign immediately or face the wrath of the organization .

According to him,”  Over three million innocent lives had been wasted from 1967 till the present 2nd Biafra  – Civil War with Nigeria based on non-violence ideology, and properties worth trillions of naira belonging to Igbo of South East zone destroyed in the cause of  Biafra,”

He added that politicians can only  give what they have in stock, stating that BIM MASSOB has declared that even if an Igbo man eventually emerged Nigerian President, such a President can never stop the much awaited emergence of the Republic of Biafra.

“There is no amount of false  hopes by these politicians to woo voters  in the name of Biafra that will  ever give anyone of them a clear lead  at the poll,” he hinted.

Advising the politicians to Stop the name calling of Biafra but resort to issue -based campaigns, he noted that using the name ‘Biafra ” for political  rallies is  mockery,
insisting  that Biafra is a Nation,  bigger than any individual or group of persons.

He described as untrue the belief in some quarters that if an Igbo man wins, the issue of Biafra would be a thing of the past, pointing out that Biafra Nation must be actualized.

“That they will revamp Nigeria’s economy, tackle insecurity in the country, end insurgency in North East, end agitations by various Self-Determination groups iwithout addressing the remote causes of their agitations, are all fake hopes told by drowning politicians and it will never materialize,” he stated

Mocha emphasized that the fight for the sovereignty of Biafra as being genuinely championed by BIM/ MASSOB in partnership with Biafra Internal Government, (BIG) is not their fight  because God is always on the side of the oppressed people.

Mocha decried the attitude of some self -serving politicians who are desperate in their bid to win public support as selfish and empty barrel by those who want to reap where they do not so.
