 HOS grants full University Scholarship to  CSTC Best All Round Student, Uforo Nse Etim.

The Akwa Ibom state head of service, Elder Effiong Essien has announced full University scholarship to the best all-round graduating student of The Civil Service Training Center, Uforo Nse Etim.

Also, he directed that he be posted to his office with immediate effect for him to monitor his progress, adding that while on scholarship he be paid full salary.

Elder Essien made the announcement today at the 15th Graduation/distinguished awards ceremony 2022 at the Civil Service Training Center, Uyo.

Describing the institution as very strategic to the training of workers of Akwa Ibom state civil service, the number one civil servant in Akwa Ibom state said it was this strategic nature of the institution that informed the prompt approval of funds by the Governor for the hosting of the graduation and awards ceremony by the management of the center today.

The head of service who charged the graduands to be role models in conduct and good ambassadors of the center wherever they may find themselves, urged them to direct all they have learned towards giving Akwa Ibom state civil service a position of cynosure where other states would come and learn from.

Elder Essien who was the special guest of honor at the event, enjoined all Akwa Ibom state workers to be committed to their duty and seized the opportunity to congratulate the graduands for their patience and perseverance thus far and also congratulated the awardees on their well deserved honor.

Also speaking chairman on the occasion, Mrs Esther Inyang, permanent secretary Department of Establishment extolled the management of the institution led by the Principal, Mrs Rose Stephen for the good work they are doing.

Mrs. Inyang herself one of the five awardees was appreciative of the honor done them while promising to do more with the honor.

Earlier in her welcome address, the Principal called for more public spirited individuals and corporate organizations to come forward and institute prizes to encourage trainees to work hard.

She thanked the state government for the release of funds to host the graduation and awards ceremony, and the awardees for turning out to grace the event.

Two staff, Ime Okon Atangedem and Tommy Nsien Nsien who have distinguished themselves were honored as trainees that excelled in different courses in their classes were presented with cash prizes and certificates respectively.

Presenting his valedictory speech, the best all-round graduating student, Uforo Nse Etim called on the state government to see about improvement on infrastructure in the institution to encourage teaching and learning. In the same token, he called for prompt payment of salaries to trainers and wages to part time teachers some of whom have been owed for months.

Highpoint of the 15th graduation ceremony which was accumulation of graduands of 2016- 2021academic years, was the ceremonial presentation of certificates to representatives of each of the academic year by the Head of Service.
