BLESSING AKOROWOSI, Osogbo
About five farmers were brutally murdered on their way to farm in the early hours of Friday in Modakeke, Osun State.
It was gathered that the bodies were found on Friday morning at Toro road.
Tension has engulfed residents of Ile-Ife and Modakeke towns following the incident.
It was also learnt that the Obafemi Awolowo University had shut its main gate as at the time of filing this report.
The Osun State Police spokesperson, SP Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incident.
She added that a team of police operatives has been drafted to the towns.
