Greenville LNG signs MOU with NASIDA to establish LNG and L-CNG auto fuel station in Nasarawa State

Greenville LNG, a pioneer Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and distribution company in Nigeria, using an innovative virtual pipeline system to deliver LNG to its customers across the country with LNG-fueled trucks, announced the strategic partnership with Nasarawa Investment & Development Agency (NASIDA) to build an LNG and L-CNG auto fuel station in Nasarawa state.

This newly signed MOU with NASIDA will promote virtual gas supply for businesses and people of Nasarawa State, the LNG, and L-CNG retail station will refill heavy-duty trucks and smaller vehicles such as automobiles and Keke NAPEP fueled with LNG or CNG.

Greenville’s goal is to continue providing gas to Nigerians, especially the North, devoid of pipeline infrastructure.  This project will change the state’s transportation industry, eliminating fuel shortage and expanding gas flow within the state; promoting clean energy will benefit the environment, investors, and local businesses in Nasarawa State’s industrial and auto gas sectors.

Potential investors will now be able to get the adequate provision of gas to competitively power their industries and vehicle fleets”.

You need gas as a business, so gas is going to be a big deal for business”.

Greenville LNG gas processing facility in Rumuji, Rivers State in Nigeria has three (3) liquefaction trains and a total capacity to produce 2250MT of LNG per day in Phase 1. Phase 2 of the project will include two (2) additional liquefaction trains, which will increase the total capacity produced to 5250MT per day. Greenville LNG is now onstream, producing and marketing Liquefied Natural Gas to customers across Nigeria since April 2019.

Greenville LNG is the first company in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa to run its entire fleet of tankers 100% on LNG. Greenville LNG refuelling stations are strategically located across Nigeria for LNG-fueled vehicles to ensure wider consumption of LNG.

Greenville LNG is contributing to the end of gas flaring, creating a greener environment, value-added jobs, reducing the disbursement of foreign exchange for diesel importation, and contributing to economic growth in Nigeria.
