Giving is very crucial in life that has been our sustenance these seventeen years – Dr Success Ibeakanma

In this interview, Pastor Dr Success Ibeakanma, The Lead Pastor of Royal Choice Ministries International, Lagos speaks on their  journey and challenges these past 17 years and how he has been able to surmount the challenges through Jesus Christ. He also said that it is always important to give and that is what has kept the ministry. He also received accolades from members and well-wishers of how God is using him as a blessing to them, sponsorship and gave scholarships, etc. One of his members, Bro Kingsley Chukwuemeka(EmmaKing)  gave testimony of how God used the Pastor to heal him of chronic kidney disease. Among other testimonies. The ministry just rounded up their 17th Anniversary. Emmanuel Clement and other journalists captured this during a press interview.

*17 years of God’s Mercies and Faithfulness. Sir, how is the journey so far?

 

It has been a wonderful journey, it’s a journey of His Grace. His Grace has helped the journey to be easy and we are soaring in His Grace and Mercy, not without ups and down but God has always shown up the times i need Him in my affairs. It is not my making. It is just God. It is God’s doing and I give him all the glory. We have been enjoying His mercies these 17 years. God has been extremely faithful to us.

*Looking at things retrospectively, can you recall any major challenges you can never forget?

 

Well, there are too many challenges that come but we don’t see them because when they come, God takes them.  Each time any challenge comes, it means there is a major promotion coming and when it comes I celebrate it. What people see and cry is what I see and smile. What people see and shout is what I see and give God praise. I have grown to see challenges as nothing but a step towards a major promotion. I have discovered that in any challenge that comes there is a testimony. I celebrate challenges and give God praise. This year Anniversary is so unique that our own Gospel Artistes in my ministry were the ones that ministered to us. The likes of Min. Ada Treasure, Pst Stephanie Success, Amazing Joe, Leo Praiz, Sensational Godwin, Royal Esther, Nonso Nestor, Inspirational Faith, Min. Chimamanda, Min. Chiamaka Peace, among others. They all ministered with great power and anointing.

*While preaching, you focused on giving. I have discovered that you have a good humanitarian attribute. What informed it?

 

I can’t do without giving. You can never say that you love God and you do not give. It doesn’t work that way. God is love and giving is practically the manifestation of God in practical form. God so loved the world that He gave. I enjoy giving, it is part of my life and it gives me joy. Even if I do not have to give, I will always give because I know that I am rich. My mentor is Bishop David Oyedepo and I have contacted excess grace from him. Everything I do I tapped from him. I have learnt alot from him. You can never be poor if you are a giver. Giving is the secret of greatness. You must be a giver to see the next level.

 

*At 17, will you say God has done enough?

 

Yes, more than enough. The gift of life is more than enough. The gift of peace of mind is more than enough. God is more than enough and He is greatly to be praised. Though, people will call you different names, but do not mind them and do not key into that name. you must look unto God and keep moving. It was said that no church prospers in Alapere but here we are after 17 years we are incharge. When I got married, my wife was asked not to marry me because i did not have a car, yet my Wife stood by me. Today, we have given over 400 people scholarships and we have given out over 115 cars, built houses for people, etc. We have given money to people to start up businesses, and we must know it is all by God not by my power. I don’t have enough words to express my gratitude to the Almighty God who has decided to make us His preferred. Indeed, God has done enough.

 

*Henceforth, what should people expect from the ministry?

Explosion. Greater Grace and more anointing to affect lives. To do God’s work more than we have ever done. The bible says greater works shall you do that I did. To touch our community and the world. That’s the next level.

 

*Managing human being is one difficult thing. How have you been able to cope these seventeen years?

 

As a pastor, ability to manage people is critical and crucial and we thank God for this. We know managing human beings is difficult. You must know that all manner of people will come around. Just like Joseph in the bible, he had those that came to either destroy or motivate him. His brothers were the destroyers and those that bought him were the motivators. We must know that human investment is the best thing one can make. Do not be dissuaded by the attitude of people just keep investing in them and do not see them as problem. God has given me the Grace to manage human being.

 

*What are the benefits of Giving?

 

 

Anything you give out, you can never go below it. Giving is the fastest way of receiving from God. Now as a giver, you must know that bible encourages us to always do that. It unlocks the favor of God and make God to be pleased with you. There are levels to this, they that sow in tears shall reap in joy. Sacrifice and giving is the greatest and fastest way of receiving from God.

 

*What message do you have as you celebrate your 17th Anniversary?

 

The message is basically nothing than be “focused”. People will criticize and talk all manner of ills towards you, but when God has change your story, people will come to celebrate you. When people criticize you, they advertise you. Don’t be discouraged because of what you are meeting on your way, just know that the way that leads to success is always under construction. Don’t be discouraged because of what you are meeting on your way, keep going.

That has been what took us these past 17 years.

 

*What do you think is the solution to the ravaging insecurities in the country?

 

Let’s hold on to God. Jesus is the solution. As we are gearing towards a new election 2023, we need God’s intervention. Everybody is complaining that President Muhammadu Buhari is bad, I must say that President Buhari did well but he cannot do beyond this level. He has done his best. The only thing Buhari can do is to complete his assignment. Maybe God brought Buhari to do forty percent to leave sixty percent for the next person to Complete it. It could be that he has done 39 percent, yet to Complete it. The remaining one percent is for Buhari to allow God to use him get us the leader that will give us the sixty percent.
