Ebonyi PDP Ward Congress: National Vice Chairman attributes massive turn-out to Unity, harmonious co-existence  among party faithfuls

The National Vice Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party /PDP/ South-East Zone Chief Ali Odefa, has attributed the peaceful and massive turn out of party faithfuls  during last weekend Ward Congress of the party across Ebonyi State to the unity and cohesion among members.

Chief Odefa made the assertion in his Ward *Ogudu Okwor Oshiri Local Government Area of the party after  participating in the exercise.

He said that the People’s Democratic Party will continue to maintain Equity and fairness in all political dealings in the state.

*The secret of this massive turn out of party supporters at the Ward Congress is due to the Equity and fairness existing in the party*

*Positions are properly and equitably shared, people are carried along in the scheme of things*

Earlier while briefing newsmen in his Ward in Ikwo Local Government Area of the State, the State PDP Chairman Chief Fred Udeogu described the exercise as rancour free.

*We did all the arrangements, the Security Agencies and Police are aware of the Congress, the PDP Electoral Committee arrived early from Enugu *

* INEC supervised all the activities, where it called for harmonization we did , the election was by Option A4*

According to him, *all of our political leaders in PDP were at their various country homes for the congress including former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim, former Governor and current Senator representing Ebonyi North zone Dr Sam Eqwu, Senator Obinna Ogba, Senator Ama Nnachi respectively.

Others included Hon Idu Igariwey, Hon Livinus Makwe, Hon Anayo Nwonu, Hon Sylvester Ogbaga, and Hon Chukwuma Nwazunku.

Addressing newsmen in his country home Ishiagu in Ivo Local Government Area of the state, the Federal Lawmaker representing OHANIVO Constituency in the House of Representative Hon Livinus Makwe , said that the PDP family in the area was united.

*We do not have dissenting voice, the party started on time to prepare, even before the Congress, we encouraged the various wards to meet among themselves and ensure that all the wards were harmonized.*

*The PDP has always been the party in Ebonyi State, all the Senators and National Assembly members of the state extraction are still in PDP*

*All our Stakeholders that are very influential including former Senator President Anyim Pius Anyim, past Ministers Chief Frank Ogbuewu, Chief Lawrence Nwuruku and Senator Emmanuel Onwe are still in PDP*

The People’s Democratic Party has scheduled next Saturday for it’s Local Government Congress while October 16th 2021 has been slated for it’s State Congress .
