An Elder Statesman and Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress  (APC) in Ebonyi State Chief Nwoba Ekuma, has debunked insinuations in some quarters alluding to his purported adoption of the Lawmaker representing Ezza South Constituency in the State House of Assembly Hon Chris Usulor, as the preferred aspirant for the governorship seat of the State come 2023.

Chief Nwoba made the refutal in his country home Ogboji community Ezza North Local Government Area of the State while reacting to the allegation of his endorsement of the Lawmaker.

The APC Chieftain who was a former House of Assembly member in the defunct Old Anambra State during the 2nd Republic , chided a Group known as “Ezza Ezekuna Leaders of Thought “for dragging his name to such fallacy.

The revered Statesman who is a card-carrying member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) denied knowing either Hon Chris Usulor or the Group “Ezza Ezekuna Leaders of Thought” and wondered why anyone could associate him with such a non-existent body.

According to him,”it is impossible for me to support a person I do not know and who has not consulted me on his purported ambition”

“I am  a full-fledged member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), registered in my Polling Unit 006 of Ogboji ward in Ezza North Local Government Area, I have no business with any other political party because that would amount to anti-party”

He opined, “I demand an apology from Hon Chris Usulor, the news of the adoption is a work of fiction, I do not know the said Chris Usulor, he does not know my house in Ogboji community, he has not consulted me and I doubt if we have ever had a handshake”

“I do not know any group with the name, Ezza Ezekuna Leaders of Thought,  I belong to All Progressives Congress (APC), I am registered in my polling unit 006, Ogboji ward, Ezza North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, what  business do I have with a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant” he queried.

“I am angry with him because even if he wanted to use my name, he should have respected my age and consulted me,  I asked my youngest son who is his age mate to look for his phone number.

“When he got it, he called it severally, but he refused to take his calls, I do not like this rascality, I urge the general public to disregard the false information”

Reacting to the purported adoption of Chris Usulor, a Socio-Political Group in Ebonyi State codenamed “Ebonyi First Platform” has condemned the political brigandage of the perpetrators .

The Group Legal Adviser Barrister Innocent Nome, described the purpoted adoption was infantile and laughable.

He opined, “Apart from the fact that the purported adoption has been proved to be false having been renounced by those it is credited to, I want to say that there is no group known with that name in Ezza Ezekuna”
