Crisis has enveloped the Adamawa state chapter of All Progressive Congress APC over plans by Party officials to impose former Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC) chairman Nuhu Ribadu as the party’s governorship flagbearer.

Ribadu in 2015 joined People’s Democratic party PDP after primaries and the party cancelled the primaries and allocated the ticket to Ribadu in Abuja and PDP lost the election due to protest by the PDP members.

On Tuesday night three governorship aspirants headed by House of Representative member Abdulrazaq Namdas, addressed  journalists alleging that the original delegates list has been replaced with unknown people.

The press conference which was attended by Theman Wafari and Umar Mustapha, alleged that the Congress schedule to take place on Monday and Tuesday could not hold due to the absent of the committee to conduct the Congress.

” To our surprise without a Congress some people sat down and replace delegates without the consent of the elected delegates. This is unacceptable, we cannot allow this to happen APC is not a private estate of any individual,” he said.

Crisis  started yesterday at a press conference organised by APC to dose tension over the allegations by the three governorship aspirants.

The APC organising secretary Mustapha Ribadu,a younger  brother to Nuhu Ribadu who is also a governorship aspirant lunched attack on the three aspirants calling them names.

In swift  reaction, Namdas who was visibly angry told Mustapha Ribadu who is suspected to be working for his elder brother Nuhu Ribadu, that as a successful  journalist and now House of Representative member twice cannot be taking for granted.

The press conference come to a halt  as the shouting match between Mustapha Ribadu and Namdas took over the air waves.

While speaking earlier, the Party leadership denied any conduct of Congress on Monday and Tuesday, but in a swift reaction, controversial senator Ishaku Aboh confirmed to journalists that Congress took place in his northern senatorial constituency.

In his comments the former speaker Adamawa state House  of Assembly. and member representing Yola-South Kabiru Mijinyawa, said that Congress took place on Tuesday in his constituency.

While speaking the governorship primaries committee chairman. Aminu Ahmed ,from Kano state said that his committee will not accept any thing outside the Constitution of the Party.

Two governorship aspirants former governor , senator Mohammadu Bindow and Ribadu were absent at the press conference.

The governorship primaries is slated for Friday, while the authentic Adamawa delegates list is still causing crisis in the party.

Meanwhile, The Screening  committee of State House of Assembly  for the upcoming primaries election of the All Progressives Congress APC arrived in Jalingo, the state capital of Taraba State on Wednesday from the National Secretariat.
