Like it is often said, history is often written by champions, and sometimes they rewrite it. though many may not agree with the phenomenal status of the very astute philanthropist, Chukwuonu David, a man who does not brook sycophancy or undue publicity, going about his job quietly and diligently.

Over time, he has made himself a problem- solver to youths and young people in the society and this is what he does without blinking an eye. Chukwuonu David, one of the co sponsors of Mykmary Fashion Show & Awards is delighted to be listed among the partners. he is so elated in his interview with ladies and gentle men of the press at the event.

CAN WE HAVE A CLEARER VIEW ABOUT YOURSELF SIR?.

My names are Chukwuonu David, the CEO of Davis Exotic Homes. We are into Building and Construction. I am one of the sponsors of this great event of Mykmary Fashion Show and Awards in this 2nd edition 2021.

WHAT GAVE YOU THE PUSH TO SPONSOR THE FASHION SHOW EVENT?

Fashion is as ancient as man and it is one of a very large sector that provide employment to young people and our organization in very interested in investing on young people. Anything that has to do with empowering the youth and showcasing their talent to the world, we are in for it. That was what motivated me to be one of the sponsors in this great event and am happy I did. I am so elated to be associated with such a noble cause and I strongly believe that startup is the way to go for the Nigerian economy to scale and grow and that is one of the things that made us to partner with this fashion house.

WILL YOU SAY SOCIAL MEDIA IS HELPING TO BOOST ENTERTAINMENT SECTOR AS A WHOLE?

It is helping, it has been helping. I don’t think if there is no social media we will have massive employment and progress in the entertainment sector. Social media is really driving it forward.

HOW DID YOU GET TO BE PRESENT DESPITE YOUR BUSY SCHEDULE?

In life, you give priority to what you think is best. Seeing the numbers of young people gathered in this event celebrating and showcasing their creative talent off course I have to be here to celebrate with them as well. We are not just here but here to add value and give back to the society through Sponsorships, mentorship and bringing up startups in the business world which fashion industry is included. And all thanks goes to Mercy Alexander, the CEO of D Gallery TV who introduces me to Michael Onyemah the Executive Director of Mykmary Fashion House.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU KNOWN MYKMARY FASHION HOUSE?

We have been together for more than a year. This particular event of 2nd edition was supposed to be held last year but because of the Covid-19, it was shifted. This year event is a fantastic one. We give God the glory.

CAN YOU PLEASE TELL US SOME CHALLENGES FASHION INDUSTRIES ENCOUNTER?

I think one of the major challenges fashion industries has been having is lack of sponsors for their event. I mean lack of adequate sponsors to showcase their creative ideas and talent to the world. There are lots of young talented people that are very creative but they lack exposure and event like this give them the kind of exposure they need. Sponsors is one of the major challenges the young creative ones are having and with us around, we are proffering solution to it.

IN YOUR OWN VIEW, WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT MYKMARY FASHION SHOW?

It’s a fantastic brand. They have been there for the youth and young people, exposing their creative ability and talent to the world. Mykmary Fashion House are doing fantastic job. If every other people out there can embrace this kind of initiative, we will make entertainment and fashion industry the way it ought to be. Fashion is contributing very massively to the economy.

WHAT SHOULD PEOPLE EXPECT FROM THIS VERY BRAND?

I think from here, the young and creative people will get sponsors from here. We are looking forward for more next year.

WHERE DO YOU SEE MYKMARY FASHION SHOW IN THE NEXT 10 YEARS?

Wao, the next 10 years is huge. The world is changing so fast, nobody can predict it but we are expecting to be in one of the top 10 World Magazine by then.
