Breaking: Supreme Court affirms NNPP’s Abba Kabir Yusuf as Kano State gov.

CHIGOZIE IKPO, Abuja

The Supreme Court has affirmed the election of Abba Kabir Yusuf of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) as the Governor of Kano State.

The Apex Court set aside the decision of the Kano State Court of Appeal, that nullified the victory of Yusuf at the March 18, 2023 governorship election in the state.

In the Lead Judgement delivered by Justice John Inyang Okoro, the Apex court held that the appeal filed by Yusuf and the NNPP was meritorious.
