Breaking: Fire guts a Section of the Supreme Court Complex

CHIGOZIE IKPO, Abuja

In a shocking tale of events in the early hours of Monday morning, a portion of the Supreme Court Complex in Abuja was razed by fire.

Confirming the incident, The Public Relations Officer for the Court, Mr Festus Akande, who spoke to our Correspondent, said the cause of the fire was electrical from one of the Chambers of the Justices but it put out with the use of fire extinguishers.

Akande debunked the news making rounds on social media that there were casualties, describing them as “fake news”.

It was gathered that three offices, including that of Justice Mohammed Saulawa, were touched by the fire, which was put out without doing further damage.
