APC will soon get over it challenges – Alhaji Danu assures

Alhaji Nasiru Danu, chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Member of the outgoing -NWC National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party has assured stakeholders of the party and Nigerians that the party is united and intact despite the rumblings in-house, which he said is part of politics.

He gave the assurance at an appreciation dinner held in his honour by the Non -NWC members of APC NEC, in Abuja, insisting that the party will emerge from its coming Convention stronger and better positioned to win the 2023 election

According to”What’s happening in the party is just a phase. It is okay. We are intact and we will come out on top no matter the issue we have” he assured.

He assured that the leadership of the party under Gov Sani Bello led CECPC is on course and allayed fears that ongoing rumblings may snowball into a bigger crisis. He solicited support of party stakeholders to enable them Conduct a hitch free convention.

“You know we are approaching the convention and our mindset now is about the convention. They have just set up the committees and our job is to support them to achieve their goal of holding a successful convention.

” I’m very sure it will not snowball. Like I said, what you have is for the NWC of the party to settle and hold the convention in the next couple of weeks and then bring a fresh NWC and NEC. The situation in the party is nothing extraordinary, it is part of politics.

Alhaji Danu who was recently turbaned by Dutse and Daura emirate Council with the title Dan Amanar Dutse and Tafida Babban Dauda expressed his excitement at the reception by his colleagues and friends in the NEC.

“I’m so excited that my friends have decided to honour me because it’s such a surprise since the turbanning took place three weeks ago but they asked me to come here to celebrate”

Meanwhile Abubakar Sadiq, APC Youth leaders and one of the organizers of the event have emphasized need for the party’s leaders to assign youths more responsibility in the coming NWC.

“This is a campaign of the youth leaders from all the geopolitical zones. We have been doing this campaign right from day one during the membership registration of our party and we have been urging all members of our party from the ward congresses where we organised a lot of programs canvassing that youths should be involved in the leadership structure of the party”.
