Facts emerged Wednesday that Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State and the National Working Committee members of the party went through all manners of threats during the state gubernatorial election which Soludo emerged victorious.

This disclosure was made by the APGA National Chairman, Ozonkpu Dr Victor Ike Oye, when he led the NWC to interact with Governor  Soludo in his Abuja.residence.

In a press release signed by the APGA National Publicity Secretary, Prophet Tex Okechukwu, and made available to newsmen in Onitsha, the APGA National Chairman, while introducing members of the NWC to the Governor, narrated the chronicles of the expedition of Professor Soludo to the seat of governorship.

“We went through all kinds of threats as we resisted all the enticing offers, they all ended in fiasco.”

He added further that, “I  prophesied on the 27th of August 2017  that Charley Nwamgbafor will succeed Governor Obiano after an earlier prediction failed.”

“Mr Governor was very reluctant to accept the proposal considering the fact that he had such an offer earlier and was eventually disqualified from running.

But I kept assuring him for over 5 hours, insisting that I heard from God. After much pressure he yielded and accepted the proposal”.

.

“On the 17th day of March , my prophesy came to fruition, Charley Nwamgbafor is now the Governor of Anambra State.”

The National Chairman however eulogized the Governor for his indefatigability and escapades in just three weeks of his administration .

He applauded the strict measures by the Governor to eradicate criminality in the state and the speed in desilting drainages and carting away refuses which had already made roads impassable in the major cities of Onitsha, Idemili and Ogbaru local Government Areas of the state.

Ozonkpu eulogized members of NWC for their congruous allegiance to him and the partt, reiterating  how bonded the NWC members are  particularly during the Governor’s elecion upon the  enticing and irresistible mouthwatering offers to them to compromise but they resisted it and never quivered.

In his response Governor Soludo extolled them for their oneness and implicit commitments and love for APGA and also for his victory in the last gubernatorial election.

He commended the National Chairman for fighting relentlessly during the election and nicknamed him “ONYILU MMAGBA” meaning difficult to be grabbed.

He extolled the National Chairman for his undauntedness being there through thick and thin .

Soludo expressed his unflinching commitment and support for the NWC and urged them to remain bonded.

The Governor also poured encomiums on Ozonkpu for his acuity and dexterity in taking APGA to this enviable height.

He reiterated that APGA is the only political party that owns it’s own national Secretariat in Abuja and even an another regional office in Awka, while other parties including PDP and APC are still using rented apartments as their Secretariat.

He further emphasized that he joined APGA not just to run for governorship but because he read the party’s constitution and manifestos and came to the conclusion that APGA is the only party that has clear cut agenda for Nigeria.

Soludo hinted that even the coinage of the name  APGA indicates progressiveness, and that it is the party that first used progressives, while others have progressiveness junked into their names without articulation or purpose.

He stated clearly that he ran for governorship of Anambra to drum home his wealth of experiences internationally and nationally contrary to the conventional trajectory of politicians going from low to top.

He encouraged members to remain steadfast with the party , assuring them that he will not disappoint them.
