All Igbo Youths Assembly in Partnership with Rebuild the Love Initiative Asks South-East Senator Orji Kalu to Close Ranks with Senator Akpabio

A socio-political and pressure group the All Igbo Youths Assembly has pleaded with the South-East All Progressives Congress APC senators-elect and particularly singled out Chief Whip of the 9th Senate Sen.Orji Uzor Kalu to withhold his ambition and shelve his plans to contest the Senate Presidency of the 10th National Assembly.
The group made the call in a press statement issued to newsmen in Abuja by the Convener of the group Mr Nnah Nnamdi Chamberlain stating that it is time to show love to our brothers from the South-South geopolitical zone of Nigeria
He said: “we want to use this opportunity to call on Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu to please drop his ambition to become the Senate President of the 10th National Assembly. We took this position based on the fact that his political party (APC) has zoned the Senate Presidency of the 10th Assembly to South-South. We are calling on our Senators-elect to please support South-South as they are our brothers.
“They supported us massively in the just concluded presidential election, therefore, it is time for us to show them that same love. We can not afford to go into any political fight against them or drag any position against them.
“We have never done such in the past and we can not start it now. The paramount thing in our mind at this period is to start rebuilding love among all.
“We are also using this great opportunity to beg our father, brother and uncle Mr. Peter Gregory Obi to please sheathe his sword ones again”.
The group had pointed out that 2000 years ago, our Lord Jesus Christ commanded us to “Sheathe your Sword” and we all obeyed Him without hesitation adding that today, we his sons and daughters are not commanding the ruling party’s contestant but pleading to him to please sheathe the sword.
He added that we are making this appeal to you in His name asking that the Labour Party LP Presidential Candidate drop the court case he had instituted against his opponent Bola Tinubu and let the nation move with love.
The group also posited that we have fought every fight that we know how to fight we have equally struggled every struggle that we know how to struggle.
They further stated that the paramount thing in the minds of all citizens of this country at this moment is to rebuild love among all because love is the greatest of all.
The group had submitted that love has no shame, it has no pride yet it is the greatest of all, as such we should rebuild it for the good of our children and for own good.
They called on Hausas,Yorubas and every tribe in Nigeria to all come out in mass and support the new found love after the election as it ‘ll ensure a great display of love for national unity.
The whole world they also said thought that the whole tribes in Nigeria hated the Igbo but the general election has proven to all the naysayers that they are loved by all as they appealed to the former governor of Anambra State to forgive and let go.
The vocal group therefore asked the other parties candidates to please drop the court cases for the sake of the unity and peaceful coexistence of the country and for the sake of every Nigerian youths.
