Imo Community Presents It’s Royal Father to Govt for official Recognition

Akwakuma–Uratta Autonomous community, in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo state yesterday presented Prince  DAVE ONU EGWUNWOKE as it’s traditional ruller to the Government for Recognition 
 
 
The presentation which was  done at the local Government Headquarters, at Orie Uratta, was performed by the Oha Uratta with all royal paraphenernelia 

 

It was a  moment of joy and wild celebration for family members, friends, supporters and well wishers of Prince Dave Onu Egwunwoke when Tuesday, 10th April, the youthful son of the late Eze Onu Egwunwoke (Eze  Oha I of Ihitte Oha Uratta)  was bestowed with all the necessary paraphernalia of office as the Eze Udo III of Akwakuma Uratta Owerri North Council Area. by the Oha Uratta led by their chairman – Oha Monday Ihejieto.

 

The  colourful ceremony which took place at the Oha Uratta town hall, Orie Uratta was witnessed by dignitaries from all walks of life including the traditional ruler of Orji Uratta autonomous  community – HRH Eze (Dr.) Innocent Opara – (Eze Ugo II of Orji Uratta), Ndi Oha Akwakuma, women and youths    from within and outside the Akwakuma community.

 

On arrival at the venue of the ceremony  however, Prince Dave Onu Egwunwoke, his wife- Ogechi Lilian and his entourage were received with several gun salutes while the joyous crowd sang solidarity songs in honour of the Prince

 

Earlier, Oha Sylvester Ndukwe and Pastor Marcel Egwunwoke who formally presented Prince Dave to the Oha Uratta for recognition as the Eze Udo III of Akwakuma extolled him as a young Prince of vision, impeccable character, integrity and credibility who has all it takes to pilot the affairs of the Akwakuma community as a monarch.
