The governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congresss (APC), Dr. Dikko Radda, has designed measures to raise the internally generated revenue and economic status of the state.

Speaking at an interactive session with journalists in Katsina, Dr. Radda vowed to move the state away from over – reliance on federal allocation if given the mandate to govern the in 2023 polls.

“We are doing something about it, we are introducing land reform in Katsina; we are going to review and build a Master plan for Katsina.

“We are going to enact enabling laws that allow us to do land reform in Katsina State and that has already reached an advanced stage in our campaign organization,” he said.

Dr. Radda noted that in the area of revenue generation, he had already commissioned experts to draft a bill for his likely administration and they were  actually working on it.

He was optimistic that the state could generate enough revenue to pay salaries even without statutory allocation from Federation Account.

In furtherance of the objective, the governorship hopeful said members of the next legislature of Katsina would have executive bills soon after inauguration towards boosting the state revenue and economy.

“Our prayer is we hope Allah will guide us, if we are able to win the elections, so that we can build Katsina of our dream,” said Radda.
