Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Uba of Young Progressives Party (YPP) has won the Anambra South Senatorial District seat in the Saturday, February 23,2019 election.
According to the INEC Returning Officer for the election, Prof M.N Umewnweke who announced the result at the Nnewi North Local Government Secretariat on Monday morning,at about 2 am said YPP polled 8,7087 votes to defeat the PDP and APC which got 62, 462 and 13,235 votes to come 2nd and 3rd respectively.
He said Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Uba , the candidate of the YPP for the election, won the election for having scored the highest number of votes for the election.
In an interview, Ubah who expressed excitement, appreciated the electorate, saying the mandate was for a greater service for Nigerians and his constituents who have by voting massively for him, expressed their confidence in him.
“I will continue to work for the good of all Nigerians. I will not disappoint you”. Uba said.
