The yearly held Forum was held to discuss matters concerning the welfare of the students, addressing issues and observations from the school’s counseling unit, that stand as hindrances to the success of the students in school.

This observation includes;
  • Drug abuse on Campus.
  • Maladaptive behaviors as reactionary actions by students such as truancy, and betting.
  • Extortion, depression, poor academic performance, and depressed family, etc.
  • Sympathy for oppressed/harassed parents.
  • Academic-related problems.
  • Depression/Bipolar Disorder.
  • Suicidal Thoughts/Attempt.
  • Financial challenges
  • Demotivating children, while trying to motivate them.
  • Negligence of parents.

This was all read out by the Deputy Director of the Counseling office. She also recommended the following as the way forward:

  • Parents should Pray regularly with their wards, as well as, Love them unconditionally.
  • Wards should be Disciplined without communicating hatred or transferred aggression.
  • Dialogue with your wards
  • Teach them resilience to build their inner strength
  • Express your pains and feelings together
  • Appreciate them, and don’t escalate their wrongdoing.
  • As parents, ensure you follow up with your Children in school, don’t just leave them.

Discussions we also made concerning the advancement of the office, and the amendment of, the constitution of the Parents’ Forum.
