Prep50 has presented a brand-new Samsung Galaxy Chromebook to 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) top scorer, Daniella Owoeye, in recognition of her outstanding performance.
Owoeye scored 372 in the 2026 UTME and, in an interview, attributed her success partly to Prep50’s preparation materials, which she said helped her prepare adequately for the examination.
She was presented with the laptop at her family’s residence in Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, recently by a team from Prep50.
Explaining the reason for the gesture, Emeka Ejeziem, Co-Founder Deacons Publishers, (Prep50 promoters) said the company considered Owoeye’s future academic needs, particularly as she prepares to study Medicine.
“We looked at a number of things besides money. The primary consideration then was that she is going to study Medicine, so we knew a laptop would be more beneficial to her future academic endeavours, for research, writing assignments, accessing online libraries and databases,” Ejeziem said.
He added that the laptop was bought as an outward demonstration of its pride in Owoeye’s achievement and the role its preparation materials played in her success.
Owoeye, according to Prep50, expressed gratitude for the gesture, while her parents also appreciated the organisation for recognising her academic achievement.
