Patronize health facilities in rural areas, community leader begs women

DAMISI OJO, Akure

Women, especially in rural communities in Ondo state, have been urged to utilize the availability of health facilities in all political wards in the state for their maximum benefits.

The Iyalaje of Ikare Akoko, Alhaja Risikat Mohammed, made the appeal while addressing women at Arigidi-Akoko on the need for people to attend the health facilities for medical fitness.

According to the woman leader, mortality rate, poverty and ignorance on health matters have been reduced drastically particularly in the rural communities with the facilities.

In her own contribution, Chief (Mrs) Rachel Ajayi Ogidi appealed to pregnant and nursing mothers to always make use of the opportunity to immunize their children against killer diseases.

The officer in charge of Agbaluku Arigidi Basic Health Centre, Mrs Modupe Olowoyey,e hailed the state government for posting qualified medical workers to the health facilities across Akoko land.

Olowoyeye, however, sought more patronage.
