The recent proclamation of Oro Obolo youth council has been nullified and put to rest pending a scheduled meeting of two major youth groups to hold in Port Harcourt, Rivers State soon under auspices of Royal Fathers.
Sequel to the proposed meeting, ESSANG led faction of the youth groups had proclaimed itself Oro Obolo youth council with Emmanuel Essang as superintendent thereby causing tension and aspersions, as to who authorized them to do so, without proper clearance and approval by the chairman of the supreme council of Oro Obolo traditional rulers and members of the executive committee.
This development has created uneasy calm and in order to deescalate the tension, the chairman, supreme council of Oro Obolo traditional rulers, His Royal Majesty, King Benson Engwenre has directed the secretary to invite the captains of the two major youth groups, namely, Oro Obolo youth stakeholders forum led by comrade Joseph Antai, and Obolo youth coalition (OYC) led by comrade Emmanuel Essang to appear before the chairman and executive committee of supreme council of Oro Obolo traditional rulers, so as to put an end to the growing anxiety and tension caused by the ill-fated proclamation.
Meanwhile His Royal Majesty , King Benson Engwenre has thanked many citizens and stakeholders for ensuring that there is total peace in Oro Obolo land.
