It informed the delegation that the House, through the ongoing constitutional amendment process in Nigeria is working towards creating special legislative seats for women in the Nigerian parliament.

Speaking in the same vein, the leader of the delegation and Speaker of the Cote D’I ‘Ivoire parliament Rt.Hon Patrick Achi said they are in Nigeria to promote collaboration in inter-parliamentary relations.

The Speaker who was represented by Hon.Yeo Klotiloma and other parliamentarians, said that the need for African nations parliaments to come together cannot be over-emphasized.

He called on Africa nation’s parliament to resistance incursion of military officers into their political systems noting that parliament is the target on such occasions.
