FAVOUR ISHEMBER, Abuja
A devastating collision has occurred on Karu Bridge, along the Nyanya-Keffi highway in Abuja, sparking fears of multiple fatalities.
Eyewitnesses claim that a trailer and a vehicle carrying sachet water, popularly known as “pure water,” were involved in the crash.
This incident comes less than 24 hours after a deadly accident claimed 2 lives at the same location, raising concerns about road safety along this busy route.
Reports indicate that at least 6 additional vehicles were destroyed in the crash.
Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with emergency responders rushing to the area to provide assistance.
While the exact number of casualties is yet to be confirmed, three people were said to have been badly injured in the accident and were rushed to Nyanya General Hospital.
According to the FRSC Unit Commander Oforo Audu, in Karu, no life was lost in the incident
The incident has sparked widespread concern about the safety of this stretch of road.
