Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has warned banks, contractors and civil servants against last minute corrupt deals with the outgoing government of Mr Gboyega Oyetola.

In a statement by its State Caretaker Chairman, Dr Adekunle Akindele, the party informed the public of ongoing rush for awards of contracts and payments which the party noted was designed to siphon public fund before the exit of the current government.

“We are getting daily report of fund movement under shady cover. We learnt of illegally operated secret accounts with huge deposits unrecorded under official government transaction. We alert banks and financial institutions again that no collaborator will be spared once the PDP takes over the state.

“We want to specifically warn contractors, banks, civil servants against ongoing frivolous awards of the following contracts at the Osun State Health Insurance Scheme, the 3billion Uniosun newly awarded building projects with 30 per cent already mobilised with nothing on site and the overvalued Iwo-Ibadan project.

“We also have reports of accelerated sale of road setbacks to members of the public. This is illegal as setbacks are meant to a free, not a built up area. Any structures built on such setbacks are liable to demolition. The public should beware.

“Our constant alert on the many infractions of the Oyetola administration was designed to forewarned bad losers who want to bring down the house because they failed at an election. We are putting on records that those who facilitated illegality and the beneficiaries in and out of government will be called to account”, the statement stated.
